The Ego...

Let’s start with the root meaning of the Ego in Latin: I. It’s the I that can be programmed to be attached to its separate identity, or the I that can be aware of its grander existence. As the Ego is the smaller consciousness of our physical reality, the Ego can be set to serve our needs and desires in physical manifestation. We mentioned in the earlier topic, that we have dismissive references to the Ego and blame “it” for our wrongdoings. But, as it’s an extension of our Self, we can’t go against ourselves; What we need is to cultivate the understanding and representation of who we are, the essence of ourselves, to be able to master the realms that we operate in. The universe has designed the human species, even all beings, to create, develop and grow – not to resist and negate our own existence. So, this blog – the cultivation of awareness - will also look at the roots of our words and how we can be meaningful with our language to relate and develop the awareness of our communication. Language is our personal equipment to channel our thoughts and feelings. The most external self of us is the Ego – our 3D dimensional self – our earthly expression, can be cultivated using inner language and external representation.

Rumi beautifully said: “Heart is sea, language is shore. Whatever sea includes, will hit the shore”. The path to understanding the self, is a pathless one, as we are so vastly universal, that trying to put a rational and expected cap on this journey, limits our boundaries to receive and to know the foundations of our knowing. Otherwise, we will be overwhelmed by the extent of what we can’t process and overburden our energy. It’s whole-ly process, as holy means to be whole, to be united. But, not in the religious/fixated manner, but in the spiritual one – the all-encompassing one. Feeling is the somatic awareness of what’s going on – becoming the sentient.

Consider the Ego to be a scout. Who reports back to the Kingdom/Queendom depending on who you are. The soul is the King/Queen, were born that way, but over time, lost power through lack of presence in the land and ignorance of the power within, to the scout who wanders outside the sacred territory, which is the energy within. The sentinel then starts, out of separation and desire, to attach/identify with the things outside the boundaries/territories/limits of your- self. To reclaim, is to call back the Ego to return back to its territory and to be disciplined to align with the values and ethos of the sacred land. When the sentinel becomes more powerful than the King/Queen civil war happens, and chaos erupts. The division between the external and internal – the illusion. The Kingdom/Queendom loses its vitality and the order it holds. So, the intervention of the All Father/Mother force - The omni ruler of all sacred lands - to wake up the royal family to what’s happening and the loss of power and structure.

Sometimes, chaos is needed to reinstate order. To wage war against the resistances the scout has harbored to reclaim and instill the unity within. I leave the rest for you to imagine and internalize in your mind. These are the cycles of life – order to chaos, chaos to order. The balance is the center and that’s the center of power. Alignment with the process of being balanced, as you can’t be the center. I refer to both aspects as masculine and feminine, as we are the union of both. The alignment with the summation of all parts, that’s the power of consciousness, the supreme intelligence of weaving and integration. Resonating with that state, the grander self, is the awareness of your I, your being, your energy, your thoughts, your wants, your negations and inherent resistances. The Ego doesn’t know, you do. The soldier needs commanding and guidance from the leader, so does the Ego’s awareness over the body. You fuel you, direct you and guide you – no external entity has that power and authority over you. Your sovereignty is your fucking power. The consideration of an Ego that is not within your capacity is the ultimate separation and negation of the totality of self.

The ether stores cosmic intelligence and collective information in the form of vibrations; Life force, Prana/Breath is the medium to access that. The word spiritual in Latin means the one who breathes. Breathe that in. Prana, from the Sanskrit term ‘ Praan ‘ is derived from the prefix ‘ Pra ‘ means ‘ brings forth ‘ and root ‘ an’ means ‘ movement ‘. Prana means the force “which brings forth the movement” - Feel and Become that. You are that. Reclaim and remember that. The entrance into this world and the departure of it is all through the same breath. Breathe and become Spiritual and inextricable from your reality. To increase your awareness, to realize and recognize your divinity is to align and resonate with the infinite intelligence that is all within us, without us and all around us – the space that we live in – the limitless space of the cosmos and the boundlessness of the universe – the spirit – the breath.

So, to develop the perspective of the self, a spiritual space has to be created – to breathe life’s force into the body to expand the energy of the soul to lead, direct and navigate the physical awareness of the Ego with its limitations in time/space. Meditation, the ancient act and practice of spirituality, is when pure consciousness, the grand spirit, recognizes itself in YOU; the development of realization and dissolution of subject and object or actor/object. To order the chaos within the mind and its erratic ways to balance the vibrations within. Cultivating sensitivity and the internal observer. To break free from the limitations of the physical body and the Ego into greater facets of awareness and explore different horizons/levels. The realization is to wake up to your core – pure consciousness. The remembrance.

The ignorant Ego wants to always know why – outside of the self – and doesn’t like to attend to these questions and answers within. It’s easier to intrude, than to withdraw to learn. Due to the attachment to the external world and the need to validate its identity through pretention and proving, the unlearnt and unexperienced one doesn’t like to fail – as that defeats what it showcased to be and dissolves the pretended proving and powerful character that it has created to cast shadow on vulnerability.

So, to be a great actor and attach to that role, pretention and the Ego likes narratives – scripts, names and stories that define that part of the play of drama and emotions.

The spirit only vibrates and everything in the universe is vibrating. To move to and from, but always here and there, at the same time, now and forever. The spiritual realm is one of infinite space, like the space that contains our existence here on earth. To be spiritual is to realize your vibration and not identification. For the Ego to understand that, it has to dissolve ignorant attachments and its fixations to die along with it. As the Ego attaches to physical things, when they terminate, which is the way for all mortals, it fears that, as it doesn’t realize its immortality within and beyond It has to die; to learn that. To separate (perceived death) from its attached identity to create a new foundation to embrace vibration – through presence and breath - and not narrative and the past. Vibration is now. Always fluctuating, fluxing, flowing.

My first Ego dissolution was to really remember what unconditional love is; by feeling it within every single cell in my body. I say remember, because it’s always within us – it's an awakening to it. We’ve learnt love through conditions and rules, but that’s transactional. Love, is unlimited, unrestricted and wholehearted. It dissolves separation to enter unity. It’s the powerful union of all that is within: the all maternal bliss inside and the acknowledgement of it. To real – ize it: To make it real for perception and discernment.

When you are united, you are grand, when you’re grand you’re all that is – which is the access to all energies of different vibrations. The same consciousness with different oscillating modes. To access, is to enter, you have the right. You have the pass. It’s always a granted one for you, but can you trust that you have it. You trust, why not? You are taken care of. Because you have, the right to. The sovereignty. You move, because you flow – you’re energy in motion. You have power, because you can and are able, and you direct it with will. You connect, because you love. You express, speak to communicate. You see, as you have intuition and the vision. And you are divine, because you are the experience of the source on earth– the grand observer. Ending credits:

• Separation causes the need for inflation to preserve the lack. Union allows preservation to sustain the abundance.

• The Ego’s self-awareness is a contraction of consciousness. The illusionary self, that is the ignorance of the Ego’s state of separation.

• The power of our species is the freedom to think and express the way you need; the necessity of the soul to convey and communicate what it solely desires. But, in an age of power struggles and manipulation, conformity and submissiveness bring peace; rather than unity by the sheer act of love.

• The play of life: The stage is the spirit. The actor is your soul. The script is your Ego. Be the symphony and synchronicity of all three.

• We are entities of no dimension inhabiting a matter of physical dimension within the intersection of space and time.

• Get lost, not out of path, but within it.

• A great Buddhist saying: In the blissful moments of peace, “thoughts become thieves that enter an empty house”. You’ve realized your vastness, that you emptied your business of looping and thinking, that nothing can disturb your inner peace.
